Leading sports nutrition brand Optimum Nutrition (ON) have become official suppliers to Hull FC ahead of the 2013 Super League season.

With Peter Gentle’s squad having started pre-season training this week, it will see Optimum Nutrition provide Hull FC with their top-of-the-range products as well as working closely with the club’s strength and conditioning staff to develop an elite nutrition programme for the first team squad and youth sides.

Among the company’s award-winning range of premium quality products are best-sellers such as Gold Standard 100 per cent Whey and Casein, renowned for their ease of mixing and great tasting flavours.

The company’s portfolio already includes England Rugby League, who were confirmed earlier this week.

Hull FC’s head of strength and conditioning, Paul Devlin, said: “We’ve been working closely with Nick and his team for the past few weeks on our new nutrition and training plans for pre-season and we look forward to our partnership growing further over the next few months.

“Optimum Nutrition will be an integral part in our ambition to raise the standards of performance in training and out on the field, and having the opportunity to use some of the best products on the market is a huge advantage to us.”

Commenting on the deal, Sebastian Mullin, Managing Director EMEA at Optimum Nutrition, said: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with Hull and we look forward to continuing to develop and build on their excellent nutrition and fitness practices.

“We will be working closely with the team to develop unique nutrition strategies to support the players’ performance on, and recovery off, the pitch.”

As part of the partnership with Optimum Nutrition, Hull FC will also be offering a range of the supplier’s products in the club’s retail stores at the KC Stadium and in Savile Street, as well as online at www.hullfcshop.com in the near future.
