Westwood enjoys testimonial win Super League

Warrington forward Ben Westwood had an enjoyable testimonial game as the Wolves beat Wigan Warriors 20-0.

The England international was celebrated amid snowy conditions and his team-mates made sure it was a successful afternoon for him, with Joel Monaghan, Rhys Evans, Brett Hodgson and Chris Riley scoring.

Warrington's team was a little stronger than Wigan’s, with the Warriors not using the likes of Man of Steel Sam Tomkins and captain Sean O’Loughlin.

Warrington fielded a virtually full-strength side, with 4,696 fans turning out to celebrate Westwood's career with the club which has taken in three Challenge Cup wins.

Wigan start their Super League campaign at Salford City Reds on Friday, with Warrington at home to Castleford Tigers next Sunday.
