Huddersfield Giants have promoted 17-year-old hooker Kruise Leeming to their Super League squad.

The England junior international has been given a three-year full-time contract after catching the eye of head coach Paul Anderson while playing for the club’s under-19s as well as the Giants’ pre-season friendly against St Helens.

“Kruise has great potential,” said Huddersfield head of youth Pete Riding.

“It gives incentive to all the younger players when we are able to demonstrate that the door is always open to move forward into Paul Anderson’s squad if the right attitude, ability and desire is shown.”
