Catalan Dragons scrum-half Scott Dureau was having more tests at a hospital in Perpignan today to determine the cause of his latest health scare.

The 26-year-old Australian, who underwent surgery to remove a brain tumour in January, made his comeback during the Magic Weekend in Manchester nine days ago but was taken ill during his side's 32-32 Super League draw at Widnes yesterday.

Dureau, who complained a blurred vision while lining up a goal kick in the second half, was immediately taken to a local hospital but released last night after undergoing scans and was able to fly back with his team-mates to the south of France this morning.

"The tests he had in the hospital in Manchester showed the problem is not related to his surgery but he will go for more examinations in Perpignan today," said Catalan media manager Yannick Rey.

"He may have more scans and he will also go back to see his specialist in Toulouse tomorrow. We will get all the results back before making a decision on when he can return to training."

Dureau, who was named Super League's top scrum-half in each of his first two seasons with the French club, missed the first three months of the season after undergoing surgery in Australia, where the tumour was discovered after he went for a routine eye test.

He is due to have regular check-ups to ensure the tumour does not return.
