St Helens have announced the signing of prop Richard Beaumont from Hull KR for next season.
The 25-year-old Robins youth product has signed a two-year contract with the Merseysiders and will make the move at the end of the current campaign.
Saints coach Nathan Brown said: "Richard showed a lot of potential coming through the system at Hull KR and will be a real asset to us next season.
"He possesses a lot of size and will bring some real go forward to our pack.
"At 25 he is still developing too and we are looking forward to seeing that at Langtree Park."
Rovers have revealed Beaumont, who has made 13 appearances this season, turned down the offer of a new contract at MS3 Craven Park to make the move.
Robins head coach Craig Sandercock said: "St Helens made Rich a very good offer and we weren't in a position to match it.
"I think it's a sign that our junior development system is working when a club like St Helens, who pride themselves on bringing their own talent through, come along and sign a player who has come through our academy."
