Widnes Vikings have confirmed that Samoa international Frank Winterstein will play his last match for the club at Salford City Reds on Friday.

The 26-year-old former Canterbury Bulldogs second rower, who played for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Crusaders RL before joining the Vikings ahead of their return to Super League in 2010, has scored 16 tries in 50 appearances for the club.

Widnes coach Denis Betts said: "Frank has been a valued member of our squad over the course of the past two seasons.

"On behalf of the club and its supporters, I would like to thank him for his time, effort and energies spent in a Vikings shirt."
