Platt heads to Crusaders

8th November 2013

Michael Platt has left Bradford Bulls for newly-promoted Championship side North Wales Crusaders.

The 29-year-old former Ireland international centre or full-back scored 24 tries in 84 appearances for the Bulls after previous stints at Castleford Tigers, Rochdale and Salford Red Devils, and featured for his country during the 2008 World Cup.

Crusaders coach Clive Griffiths said: "It's a tremendous capture for us. He may have had other offers but he's come to us as he sees the potential of the club and that there's the opportunity to go places.

“That’s what we’re trying to do here and we’ll welcome his experience and quality that he’ll add to the team. He’ll only help us to develop and consolidate the team ready for the Championship next season.”
