Featherstone player banned for eight matches

5th December 2013

An RFL Operational Rules Tribunal has handed down an eight-match suspension to Featherstone Rovers player Bradley Knowles-Tagg after finding him guilty of racially abusing a Salford City Reds player in an Under-20s fixture on June 29, 2013.

Knowles-Tagg was found to be in breach of Law 15.1(f) using offensive or obscene language and was charged with the Grade E offence of using verbal abuse based on race, colour, religion, gender, sexual preference, national or ethnic origin.

Knowles-Tagg, who did not attend the Tribunal or respond to communications about the charge or the hearing, has 14 days in which to appeal.
