Escare extends Dragons stay

Catalan Dragons full-back Morgan Escare has been rewarded for a fine breakthrough season with a new three-year deal.

The France international was one of the stars of the Super League season after making a round-eight debut against Bradford Bulls.

He went on to score 15 tries in 17 games before earning a place in France's World Cup squad. He will now remain with the Dragons until the end of 2016 at least.

"I'm really happy to sign this new contract. It's great to commit to a long-term deal with the Dragons," Escare said.

"But I know that the hardest is yet to come and I know what I have to do now. The break at the end of the World Cup allowed me to recharge my batteries to be ready for the new season. I'm now looking forward to start the Super League 2014."
