Castleford Tigers are to dip into the transfer market after losing three forwards to injury.
Ryan Boyle is out for the rest of the season after being told he needs a knee reconstruction, while Nathan Massey will be sidelined for six to eight weeks after undergoing ankle surgery and Dan Fleming has a back injury.
Boyle missed the first two months of the season with a knee injury sustained in the last match of 2013 and re-ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in the Tigers' win over Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on Good Friday.
Boyle said on Twitter: "Absolutely gutted that my season is over after working so hard to get back in time for most of this season.
"It will be operated on in the next few weeks. I will be back in October for a full pre-season with the boys."
Powell said: "We're struggling a little bit up front. In terms of big men we are a little bit light.
"We'll be announcing a new signing in the next couple of days which will strengthen us up a little bit."
