Leeds Rhinos are set to give a First Utility Super League debut to teenager Ash Handley in Friday's derby with Bradford Bulls at Headingley.
The 18-year-old back has been named in coach Brian McDermott's 19-man squad after showing outstanding form with the club's Under-19s, for whom he has scored 19 tries in 17 appearances so far this year.
The Rhinos, who are still without skipper Kevin Sinfield because of suspension, have lost centre Joel Moon, second rower Carl Ablett and prop Jamie Peacock to injury and are resting England threequarters Kallum Watkins and Ryan Hall a week before their Tetley's Challenge Cup semi-final against Warrington Wolves.
Forwards Ryan Bailey, Mitch Achurch and Ian Kirke all return from injury and outside back Ben Jones-Bishop is set for a recall on the wing.
Former Leeds winger Danny Williams will face his old club after Bradford extended his loan spell from Salford Red Devils.
The Bulls are also set to welcome back Scotland forward Dale Ferguson, who made only four appearances since joining them from Huddersfield Giants because of a succession of injuries.
