Mamo voted June Player of the Month
20 Jul 2021
Jake Mamo has been voted June’s Player of the Month after starring in Warrington Wolves' unbeaten run last month.
Mamo picked up the award after being included in the Player of the Month shortlist for the first time in June, following his eye-catching displays between rounds 9 to 12.
His elusive running and energy on the field, paired with his larger-than-life personality off it, has made him a crowd favourite at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
The electric outside back enjoyed a month to remember in the primrose and blue. Mamo scored four tries - including a hat-trick of tries away at 2020 League Leaders Wigan Warriors - as well as averaging 147 running metres and four tackle busts a game.
Mamo - who is destined for Castleford in 2022 - was voted Betfred Super League's best player in June by supporters and a four-person panel after his sensational form between rounds 9 and 12.
On receiving June's award, Mamo said: "Aww I wasn’t expecting that. Well I’m chuffed and humbled. And even more so considering it’s voted for by the fans. So thank you everyone for supporting me!"
It was an impressive month for @WarringtonRLFC's Jake Mamo in June 💪
